Over 21 million theatregoers have seen The Lion King touring productions in North America for more than 20 years. The Lion King comes to Philadelphia at the Academy Of Music after more than 9,000 performances in over 90 cities across North at the Lion King tour.

Philadelphians can also expect to see two local cast members on Pride Rock: Nick LaMedica, who plays ‘Zazu,’ is from Newark, Delaware. Eric Bean, Jr., a member of the ensemble, graduated from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia.

The production features Peter Hargrave as “Scar,” Gerald Ramsey as “Mufasa,” Gugwana Dlamini plays the role of “Rafiki,” Nick Cordileone plays “Timon,” Nick LaMedica as “Zazu,” John E. Brady plays the role of “Pumbaa,” Darian Sanders as “Simba,” Forest VanDyke as “Banzai,” Martina Sykes as “Shenzi” and Robbie Swift is going to be “Ed.”
