Lion King Coming to Ottawa Ontario in Fall 2024
Disney’s The Lion King. The Broadway musical will stop in Ottawa in the fall of 2024. Lion King musical will be performing at National Arts Centre in Ottawa, ON.
It’s been more than a decade since the show first appeared in Ottawa. On that occasion in 2011, Citizen reviewer Natasha Gauthier wrote of the “visually astonishing, emotionally stirring spectacle that, nearly 15 years (after its creation), has lost none of its freshness or power.
The Lion King can currently be seen on Broadway; London’s West End; Paris; Hamburg; Tokyo; Madrid; Sao Paulo and on tour across North America and the U.K. and Ireland for a total of nine productions running concurrently around the globe. Having played over 100 cities in 24 countries on every continent except Antarctica, The Lion King’s worldwide gross exceeds that of any film, Broadway show, or other entertainment title in box office history.
