Lion King returning to Denver Colorado<\/a> in the month of November 2011.<\/strong> The Lion King performances at The Buell Theatre<\/a> start on November 02 and play through December 04, 2011.<\/p>\n

Lion King The Buell Theatre Schedule<\/a>:<\/strong>
\nTuesday through Friday evenings – 7:30pm
\nSaturdays – 2:00pm and 7:30pm
\nSundays – 1pm and 6:30pm.
\nThursday, November 3 – 2pm matinee
\nWednesday, November 23 – 2pm matinee
\nFriday, November 25 – 2pm matinee
\nWednesday, November 30 – 2pm matinee
\nNo performances on Thursday, November 24 (Thanksgiving)
\nNo 6:30pm performances on November 27 and December 4<\/p>\n

Casting has been announced for the Denver return engagement<\/a> of Disney’s The Lion King. Denver’s most eagerly awaited stage production will return to The Buell Theatre from Wednesday, November 2 to Sunday, December 4. The press opening night is Friday, November 4 at 7:30pm. This will be The Lion King’s third time to play Denver. The North American Tour launched in Denver in April 2002 where it played a sold-out 10-week engagement at The Buell Theatre<\/a>. The production returned to The Buell Theatre in September 2006 where it played a 7-week sold-out engagement.<\/p>\n

The sardonic and deviously cunning “Scar” is played by J. Anthony Crane. Dionne Randolph is “Mufasa,” the great warrior and ruler of the Pridelands. Buyi Zama is the wise baboon shaman “Rafiki.” Mark David Kaplan portrays the prim and proper hornbilled bird “Zazu.” Ben Lipitz is the carefree warthog “Pumbaa” and Nick Cordileone is the wisecracking meerkat “Timon.” Mufasa’s son, “Simba,” the lion prince born to be king, is played by Jelani Remy and Syndee Winters is the loyal lioness “Nala.” <\/p>\n

The three evil hyenas are played by Omari Tau (“Banzai”), Monica L. Patton (“Shenzi”) and Ben Roseberry (“Ed”). The role of “Young Simba” is alternated between Niles Fitch and Zavion J. Hill and the role of “Young Nala” is alternated between Sade Phillip-Demorcy and Kailah McFadden. <\/p>\n
