That record significantly tops the previous one, also held by The Lion King, which was set for the week ending January 3, 2010, by more than $130,000.<\/p>\n<p>And the beloved production shows no signs of slowing down.  Now in its fourteenth season on Broadway, The Lion King had its highest-grossing fiscal year ever last year \u2013 unprecedented in a show that\u2019s been around for as long as this.<\/p>\n<p>The Lion King continues to draw crowds all over the world.
