Lion King Broadway Cast Update – Esteban Oliver to Join as Zazu
The Lion King, the fourth longest-running show in Broadway history, is pleased to welcome Esteban Oliver as Zazu, beginning performances on Tuesday, April 1. Lion King is a standing production at Minskoff Theatre.

Esteban joins the New York company of The Lion King directly from the Spanish production. Esteban Oliver Theatre credits highlights are Mamma Mia!, Beauty and The Beast, The Producers, The Phantom Of The Opera or Victor/Victoria. He’s been part of The Lion King’s original Spanish cast from 2011 and was awarded for his performance in the show as Zazu the 2012 BroadwayWorld Spain Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role. He will take his final bow in Teatro Lope De Vega next March 6th.
Disney’s landmark musical event, The Lion King, played its 6,681st performance on Saturday evening, November 30th, surpassing the original Broadway production of Les Miserables (6,680 performances) to become the fourth longest-running show in Broadway history, having recently celebrated its 16th anniversary on Broadway in October.
